Brainstorm
Let's chat about locations, outfits, and anything else we need to both be prepared for the session.
Pick a session type, set up a date, and get it on our calendars!!
03.
Session Time!!
We meet at the agreed upon location and have a fun time taking pictures!!
You will pay BY the day of the photoshoot! I won't start editing until it is paid in full.
04.
Gallery Received
You will receive an online gallery within 6 weeks (usually 2 weeks) of the photoshoot with all of the edited images.
Please tag me in your posts and share them!
FAQ
What if I wake up with a breakout on picture day?
No worries! My costs include touch-ups on each photo so I will take care of your minor blemishes during editing!
What’s the best time to have a session ?
Typically I try to shoot for "golden hour" which is right before sunset or right after sunrise. That means we would meet up about two hours before sunset depending on what session you booked. If that time doesn't work, early morning sessions are also an option...we typically would try to never shoot between 10-3 because of the harsh sun.
If it is an indoor shoot, we can pretty much do anytime!
We don’t feel very confident in front of the camera, is that ok?
Yes! That is what I am there for!! I will help you with poses and try to make it fun along the way. I want to help you feel confident comfortable behind the camera. If the session is with your family/loved ones, I just want you guys to be yourselves and I'll capture some raw moments while still helping with some prompts/poses.
Can I bring props to my session?
Absolutely!! Props are a great way to showcase your personality and interests. Think sports gear, musical instruments, pets, or even college-apparel! We will chat about props prior to the session so we can plan accordingly!
I wear glasses, will that be an issue?
Not at all...However, we suggest removing the lenses if possible to avoid glare, as it can't be fully removed in editing. If that's not possible, no worries...the photos will still turn out great!!
What happens if the Wisconsin weather doesn't cooperate?
I will monitor the weather and keep you informed every step of the way. Typically a small shower doesn't last long and photos still turn out great on a gloomy day. If absolutely needed, we will reschedule!
Will I receive digital images?
Yes! You will receive an online gallery with all the high-resolution edited photos. You are then able to download all the images to share and print those photos to your liking. I own the copyright to all photos and with your okay I am able to post throughout my social media platforms.
How should we dress for our family session?
Color Coordinate with the fam and wear what you feel confident in! Same hues/tones but not the exact same color. Go for a color theme that looks good on everyone's skin tone/hair color! If I haven't already sent it to you, contact me about my client guide--it will be very helpful in coordinating outfits!
Can I share the photos on my social media?
Yes, please do!! Just tag or credit me when you share! I ask that you avoid screenshotting (it lowers the image quality) and resist applying filters.
How can we pay?
I accept Venmo or Cash!
How many pictures will we receive?
Depends on the session type. Typically...
90 mins = 75+ pictures
45 mins= 55+ pictures
mini=25+ images!
How soon will I see my photos?
Usually clients receive it within two weeks but I WILL get the full gallery to you within 6 weeks of the session. Follow my Instagram page @josie.marie.photography to see possible sneak peaks!
